Who We Are
The Helpline is a free telephone community service that gives access to medical, dental and mental health care as well as to social service agencies. Calls are answered directly by a concerned staff member with whom the caller may discuss their personal problems. All calls are confidential. After the staff member has talked about possible solutions and alternatives, the caller is referred to the medical or mental health provider, or to the agency that best fits the callers specific needs.
What We Do
We are the one telephone number to call when someone doesn't know where to turn for help. BAMSI was incorporated in 1975, and is a state-wide organization dedicated to reaching people where they are to learn, grow, and thrive. We also strive to reach out to all members of the community, as more and more citizens find themselves in need of support and services. The Helpline's Information & Referral Program is sponsored by the City of Brockton, United Way of Greater Plymouth County, Brockton Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center.
We are a team of staff and volunteers whose goal is to link those in need with services and support. During each confidential call, you’ll have the opportunity to share your specific situation with a knowledgeable person who can offer guidance, possible solutions, or alternatives.
