Who We Are

Recognizing the interdependence of all life and working toward a sustainable future, the Marion Institute advances the work of groundbreaking innovators in the fields of health, well-being and the environment. The Marion Institute forges alliances with an array of forward-thinking individuals and organizations working throughout the world. Acting as a catalyst both locally and globally, the Institute examines and rethinks core beliefs and identifies, promotes and incubates programs that create deep and positive change. Incubation takes a number of forms, from strategic guidance, promotional assistance, seed funding or administrative support, to collaborative partnerships, to full program design and implementation. Key focus areas include biological medicine, socially responsible investing, metahistory, environmental education, restorative living and action.

What We Do

The Marion Institute is a member based non-profit organization that identifies, promotes and incubates programs that create deep and positive change. Founded in 1992, the Marion Institute seeks to engage the widest possible number of people in seeing, connecting and participating in new ways that best support their own lives, and those of the wider community at large. We believe in the interdependence of all life and the critical balance necessary for a sustainable future. From the start, we have always sought to see more deeply ? beneath the radar of the everyday ? and to bring the views of the latest thinkers to new audiences and by sharing articles and mailings. The Marion Institute is always looking to create, support or simply showcase programs and innovators that go deeper ? that address root causes, create systemic change, and are a little more likely to help tilt the world on its axis.
