DAY OF ACTION PARK CLEAN UP
Sponsored by United Way of Greater Fall River and Fall River Parks Department
United Way of Greater Fall River will support the Fall River Parks Department in cleaning up area parks in preparation for Greater Fall River RE-CREATION’s Summer Lunch in the Park and the Eat. Play. Read. program, sponsored by United Way of Greater Fall River, Greater Fall River RE-CREATION, and Partners for a Healthier Community. During the summer lunch program, local volunteers will play social-emotional learning (SEL) games with children and read books dealing with SEL topics and diversity.
To prepare for these summer activities, we'll be pulling on our work gloves and targeting the park that needs some care to be ready for a busy summer of activities. We will be working in KENNEDY PARK on this day.
Want to do more? Volunteer for our Eat. Play. Read. program this summer as well! You'll be helping children maintain their reading levels and learn how become more in touch with themselves, their emotions, and their peers.
