Volunteer Opportunity:
Agriculture/Sustainability - Urban Tree Farm
Mayor William A. Flanagan's Office of Neighborhood Development & Outreach
Support the work of the Office of Neighborhood Outreach by helping to maintain over 250 trees at various stages of growth located at the Mary Ann Wordell Urban Tree Farm located on Bay Street. Part-time to full-time opportunities are available with flexible schedule.
DUTIES:
• Sowing, thinning, weeding, transplanting, moving trees, watering, applications, potting, shipping and loading.
• General nursery labor reports to the Neighborhood Outreach Coordinator
• Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere with all areas.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently.
• Must be able to work in a safety aware environment.
• Will be expected to work outside in all kinds of weather and must have suitable clothing.
• All nursery labor is required to attend weekly general staff/safety meetings.
