An all-volunteer Grant Review Committee comprised of community members reads, scores, and evaluates the grant proposals. The committee reviews applications, interviews potential grantees, evaluates applications, and makes funding recommendations. Reviewers utilize a Community Impact Grant rubric in the grant software, Community Force, to evaluate the applications.
Who are we looking for?
• Residents of the City of New Bedford, and towns of Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Freetown, Marion, Mattapoisett, Rochester, or Wareham
• Diverse lived experience and/or subject matter expertise in a variety of topics related to youth opportunity and healthy communities
• Individuals who are not affiliated with organizations applying for an award in this funding cycle
Reviewers are tasked with reviewing and scoring the proposals based on the criteria provided for the impact areas of healthy communities and youth opportunity. We anticipate that reviewers will need to set aside 7 - 10 hours for review in addition to an optional meeting to discuss proposals with other reviewers in early June.
Grant Committee Timeline:
May 27: Grant Review Committee conducts applicant interviews.
June 15: Grant Committee deliberates and srecommends grantees.
