Role Overview:
We are seeking a volunteer Haitian Creole Translator to help ensure our programs, materials, and events are accessible to Haitian Creole – speaking individuals and families. This volunteer plays an important role in supporting inclusive communication and community engagement.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Translate written materials from English to Haitian Creole (and Haitian Creole to English as needed)
- Provide in-person interpretation support at community events, meetings, and outreach activities
- Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and easy to understand
- Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Time Commitment:
Flexible and based on availability. Translation of materials can be done remotely
