Who We Are
Our mission is to educate the public about the history and culture of New Bedford's commercial fishing industry by engaging them in authentic experiences, to document that culture and history for future generations, and to honor and support the men and women who make their living from the sea.
What We Do
In order to accomplish our mission we engage the public through exhibits, interactions with fishermen and fishing families, special events and growing archives and collection. We host school groups, participate in community events, and host a variety of off site events and programming.
