Who We Are

My Brother’s Keeper serves families in crisis… parents and children eating and sleeping on the floor.

We can respond with everything needed to furnish a bare apartment: beds, cribs, dressers, refrigerators, kitchen sets, and living room sets as well as important household items like dishes, pots, pans, blankets, sheets, and towels. We obtain these items through a combination of residential and commercial donations and supplement with purchases as needed.

Loading truck

My Brother’s Keeper is the only charity in Southeastern Massachusetts providing furniture assistance free of charge as a core program. All services are delivered in unmarked vehicles – vitally important to those without transportation or the physical means to move heavy items.

But to do this, we need your help!

At My Brother’s Keeper we are committed to utilizing each volunteer’s special gifts and talents. What our volunteers receive in return is life-changing: a deep appreciation for the blessings they have and the sense of joy and fulfillment that comes from helping others in Christ’s name. Our staff and volunteers also enjoy each other’s company and have fun serving together!

What We Do

My Brother’s Keeper is a vibrant, welcoming, volunteer-based Christian ministry in Dartmouth and Easton, Massachusetts which delivers furniture to local families in need.

Our mission is “To bring the Love and Hope of Jesus Christ to those we serve.” As a gift at each furniture delivery we offer a crucifix with the message, “We’re just the delivery people… this is the man who sent you the furniture.” Anyone living in our service area is eligible to receive our help, regardless of religion. All services are provided free of charge and without judgment.

Urban Plunge

My Brother’s Keeper was founded in 1988 by a husband and wife serving families in need from the basement of their home. We've grown tremendously since! Today, 3,000 volunteers and 9 full-time employees work together from two modern facilities to make 8,000 deliveries each year. Over the past 25 years, we have made over 100,000 total deliveries to struggling families and individuals across eastern Massachusetts. Our volunteers like to say, we carry furniture but we deliver HOPE!
