Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth

The programs we offer such as the the Compass Zone after-school homework help and tutoring program, Keystone (ages 14 - 18) and Torch (11 - 14) leadership Clubs, ClubTech computer center, and programs in Education and Career are designed to increase academic development.  Programs in  Health and Fitness provide exercise and nutrition training as well as exercises in agility and endurance for boys & girls. and Fitness Authority, are designed with our mission in mind.

We are mentors to youth, we are advisors and confidants, we instill in each youth a sense of Belonging, Usefulness, Competence, and Upward Influence in thier Club.  This is our Youth Development Strategy and our Prime Directive.

The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth has re-emerged as the unique force for positive change in youth development in Plymouth.  For the past 8 years, members have found physical and social recreation; academic advancement; and career preparation available after 3PM every school day (CompassZone) and all day during the summer (Smarter Fun in Summer) in a safe, secure, positive environment staffed by caring adult professionals.  Our Club also offers a GED program for school dropouts and a "Goals for Graduation" dropout prevention program.

Mission:  To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.  The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth will provide area youth with activities designed to build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, and promote positive life choices.

The Club pursues its mission with purpose, passion, and patience. 

The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth, founded in 1911, serves the youth of Plymouth and surrounding communities.  Formerly situated on Middle St. in downtown for over 80 years, the Club has provided programs and services to thousands of youth.  Our new facility on 9 Resnik Rd. in the Plymouth Industrial Park, serves more youth than ever before, our membership is over 800. With the support of the community, our 17,000 square foot facility has enabled us to increase our current services and expand our programs.
