The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to partner with under-resourced families to provide their children with transformational, one-to-one professionally-supported relationships with caring adult mentors, so that their children will thrive.
Big Brothers Big Sisters matches children between the ages of 7-12 with an additional, positive, caring adult volunteer to help ignite and empower their full potential. Through our professionally supported model, mentors and mentees meet 2-3 times a month, for a minimum of a year, though many matches last a life time!)
We currently offer three innovative volunteer program models: Site-Based Mentoring, Community Based Mentoring, and through our partnership with UMass Dartmouth, Campus Based Mentoring.
