What We Do
The Volunteer Services Department of the Bristol County Sheriff's Office is committed to creating and sponsoring proactive programs and services to meet the educational, emotional, and religious needs of its inmate population as a means of combating recidivism. Through the creation and implementation of daily programs to meet the criminogenic needs of the BCSO's inmate population the Volunteer Services Department is contributing to lowering Bristol County's rate of recidivism. Volunteers provide an essential public service to offenders and detainees from diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
