Volunteer: Good listeners needed!

Seeking caring, compassionate volunteers to staff our suicide prevention crisis hotline.  Each volunteer participates in a mandatory 35-hour training program which includes working with a trained volunteer. Trainings are scheduled for May, September, November, and January.  Volunteers are asked to cover a 2.5-hour shift weekly.  A minimum of a 6-month commitment is expected.

Internships - for credit and paid - are offered to undergraduate and graduate-level students currently enrolled in a college or university in the U.S. 

Prospective volunteers must also undergo a background check as part of the application process. 

All volunteer work is done remotely. Volunteers must have a quiet, confidential space to work in.
