PERL Job Overview:
Respond to family requests for peer support via PERL App.

Provide support and guidance to families raising children with mental health needs via family preferred method of communication (ie. video chat, smartphone, text, and/or in person communications.

Support resource building and navigation to families related to youth mental health.

Make recommendations to ensure the quality of family-centered care and services.

Participate in training and other events to provide a family-centered perspective.

Facilitate trainings and support for leadership within education, agencies, organizations, and other stakeholders

Participate in Quality Assurance activities and data collection as needed.

Provide expert guidance via consultation to educators, agencies, organizations, and other stakeholders to support family-driven decision-making processes as requested.
PERL Qualifications:

Lived-experience being the parent or primary caregiver for a child with mental health needs.

In depth knowledge of the MA Behavioral Health System
-
Access to a smartphone, computer, and reliable internet.

Nice to Have
-
Certification(s) in Wrap Around, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, and/or Youth Mental Health First Aid.
