General Description:
Citizen Review Panelists are volunteers appointed by the United Way of Greater New Bedford. The major responsibility of Citizen Review Panelists is to review proposals and make recommendations for funding of specific initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings where team assignments will be made and instructions for conducting and completing proposal assessment will be given.
- Read proposals.
- Assess and score the assigned proposals using the online CommunityForce platform. Submit your recommendations by the deadline.
- Select representatives will meet to discuss the proposals and to reach a consensus on the funding of each proposal.
Time Commitment:
The best estimate of the time commitment is a range of 15-20 hours total over the course of May and June, including review time, scoring, and meetings.
