The Buzzards Bay Swim is an open water swim benefiting the Buzzards Bay Coalition, a nonprofit organization that works to protect clean water in our region.
Volunteer your time at the Swim and help us run a safe, fun event for everybody!
Volunteers needed at the start line on Cisco Beach in New Bedford as well as the finish line at Ft. Phoenix in Fairhaven.
Volunteer tasks include:
Swimmer check-in
Distribution of swim caps and timing chips
Kayak inspection
Kayakers for the Safety Squad
Kayakers to escort swimmers
Set up/break down
Staffing of hospitality tents
Parking
People flow
Photographers
Lifeguards, registered nurses, EMTs
