Pedal for the Path - a ride to complete the South Coast Bikeway

On Sunday, 16 September 2018, the South Coast Bikeway Alliance (SCBA) will hold its first regional bike-ride fundraiser, Pedal for the Path.  Beginning and ending at the Running Brook Vineyard in Dartmouth, in between you can count on 52 miles of fabulous cycling, postcard perfect scenic views, more historic places than you can count, and, along the way, memorable ice cream.   Registration Opens August 14th.  As space is limited, sign up - right away!
What is it for?
This ride will help raise funds for an engineering feasibility study enabling the communities of Dartmouth, New Bedford, and Westport to move closer to completing their portions of a multi-use South Coast Bikeway spanning from Swansea to Wareham.  Pieces have already been completed in Fall River, Fairhaven, New Bedford and Mattapoisett.  We need your help to bring the Path to completion!   
The Ride
Starting at 9:00am, riders will be able to stop at locally famous Ice Cream Shops and farms and enjoy free samples of your favorite summer treat.  Hey, how does chocolate chip taste from different makers?  Check out the route map below.
We are anticipating 200 - 250 rider participants and 50 or so volunteers.  Rider support will be provided by Yesteryear Cyclery.
The venue – Running Brook Vineyard 
Free parking.  BYO chair, tent.  After the ride, hang out on the grounds.
From 1-5 (could start earlier…) there will be live entertainment on-site featuring the Mid-Life Crisis band, food trucks, beer from Moby Dick Brewery, and delicious local wine from Running Brook Vineyard.

Volunteers Needed!
