The Westport River Watershed Alliance will be hosting a beach clean up at the Westport Town Beach on Saturday, May 5th from 10 am to 12 noon. Volunteers are asked to meet us at the Town Beach parking lot on Cherry & Webb Lane in Westport, Massachusetts. Garbage bags, gloves, and pickers will be provided, as well as bottled water and a snack. Our goal is to help protect local sea life as well as beachgoers from marine debris such as plastic, styrofoam, balloons, old lobster traps, and broken bottles and cans.
