Who We Are

Founded in 1821, the Brockton Public Schools' mission is to ensure student success by fulfilling the educational, social, and emotional needs of all students in the pursuit of instructional excellence. The vision is: Instructional excellence for every student, every day.

What We Do

The Brockton Public Schools is a large diverse, urban school district that provides a comprehensive program of academic, enrichment, athletic and arts programming aimed at preparing students for a successful life. The district is the fourth largest in the state, providing quality educational programs to 16,957 students (as of 6/1/18) in pre-kindergarten to grade 12. Its services extend beyond the school day to include before- and after-school academic and enrichment opportunities as well as extra-curricular athletic and artistic programs. The Brockton Public Schools also serves adults with English as a Second Language, GED and enrichment courses throughout the year. The strength of the school system is its thousands of dedicated teachers, administrators and staff members whose expertise, energy and enthusiasm make the system a fertile ground for our students' academic and cultural growth. The district is committed to helping every student succeed and committed to working with parents and the community to ensure that all Brockton students succeed.
