Who We Are

We  will support our mission of community building by focusing on the positive assets that are  available in our Campello community,  with a particular emphasis on the neighborhoods around Keith Park:  Main St. (between  Plain St. and Garfield St.) Montello St. Ext., Plain St. (between Main St.  and Riverside Ave.), Riverside Ave., Montello St. (between Plain St. and  Perkins Ave.), Garfield St. and Terminal Place.

We  will also emphasize action steps and effective service projects /events that:
 ·         Respond to real  issues
 ·         Improve community members’ lives
 ·         Incorporate the abilities of those who are served
 ·         Recognize the contributions of all participants as important and necessary
 ·         Are based on a realistic assessment of available resources
 ·         Aim for specific goals and objectives with measurable results
 ·         Build effective networks

Together, we work to enrich the neighborhood  by offering activities for children, organizing social gatherings, supporting local businesses and addressing community concerns.

What We Do

The Keith Park Neighborhood Association (KPNA) takes its name from the beautiful  park located between Main and Montello Streets, in the historic section of Campello, Brockton, MA. We are an all-volunteer group of area residents creating and sustaining community and pride in our neighborhood. Made up of residents of all ages, races, and ethnicities, KPNA is focussed on the area of Campello in about a one mile radius of the Park.  Our volunteers for special events and activities also come from other areas of Brockton and adjacent neighborhoods.

The Keith Park Neighborhood Association has been formed to begin the process of engaging the residents who live around the park to create a framework in which the community can come together and address these initiatives with a unified voice, can create stronger neighborhood bonds, and can enhance all of the values and assets of our Campello community, but most especially Keith Park.  Our mission is to make Keith Park the "town green" of Campello.

The KPNA is not an official 501(c)3.  The cost of organization, filing fees, etc. far outweigh our anticipated first year annual budget.  However, we have organized our all-volunteer association along the guidelines of a more formal nonprofit corporation.  The initial Steering Committee shall be the governing body of the Association.  As the KPNA grows, we will expand to a larger Board of Directors format
