Family Service Association Big Friends Little Friends

Big Friends Little Friends matches men and women age 16 1/2 and older (with valid drivers license) with children age 7 - 14 who are in need of an adult friend and mentor. It's so simple! All we ask is that the adult act as a positive role model and friend to the child. While building a friendship, the adult is sure to enjoy memorable experiences that will positively impact a young person's life. You don't need special skills to be a Big Friend, just the desire to be a friend, make a friend, and have some fun while helping a child grow!

We are committed to providing a wide array of high quality programs and services designed to strengthen and support individuals and families and to addressing the social service needs of our very diverse and changing communities. Big Friends Little Friends was started by Family Service Association in September of 2003 after Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fall River dissolved. Since this time, the program has been growing and servicing many youth in the Greater Fall River community. Unfortunately, referrals for youth to have Big Friends are made much more frequent than individuals volunteer; this is especially true for males.
